I found a recent article on msnbc.com about Facebook that touches on a topic I've been struggling with - do I add somebody as a friend or not?
Listen to my podcast and tell me what you think.

It is an interesting dilemma. It seems like in some cases, the more friends, the more value facebook has. But on the other hand, why would you "risk" all the junk and extra stuff to wade through from people you really would never have chosen to keep in contact with. I am not on facebook, so I haven't had to make that decision. But I know my daughter accepts invitations from anyone she really knows -- no strangers, but if she knows them to be a decent person, she accepts their invitations. She finds that the more friends you have, the more valuable facebook is in keeping up on everything.
Great job on the audio, Jeff!
I think a lot of people are faced with this delemma. I will usually ignore the people I don't know. If I know them, but are not close with them, I will still add them as friends if they ask.
